Just about any of them. Debian is a good choice. Ubuntu is based on debian.

Slackware is also a good choice and what I use although there are no pre built
packages for software outside of the distribution (well, there are if you look
for them).

I use slackbuilds.org to get sources and build them myself from a
*.SlackBuild script if I want to run them.
