From: "Flyi±g ╤u± 2░╣9 + on desktop" <flyingnun@tiscali.co.uk> Many thanks for everyone's support, guidance a advice. I have managed to get the problem sorted out by Avast support. As the version of Avast that I use is the last version they produced which had no SSE2 issues I had a prolonged email chat with them from 20/02/2019 up to yesterday. This involved moving up their support engineers chain of command and many screen shots and various log files being sent to them. Eventually they found that the problem wasn't an SSE2 related issue and had also been affecting software versions much more recent than mine but producing subtly different symptoms from mine. However it appears that they have now solved the problem and today's updates are now being received by my software. Needless to say I'll be monitoring the updates closely in future. . -- Heard melodies are sweet but those Unheard are sweeter flyingnun@roseofwhite.plus.com FN 2║╣9+.
