MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Harold Horowytz Deli Maestro Categories: Five, Beef, Breads, Condiments Yield: 1 servings Sliced pastrami Sourdough rye bread Deli mustard MMMMM--------------------------OPTIONAL------------------------------- Emmenthaler Swiss cheese Russian dressing Pickle; on the side Warm your sliced pastrami in a double boiler. Heat until just warm. Do not heat in an oven or microwave. Do not over-cook. Cut two 1/2" slices of rye bread. Spread a generous amount of mustard on one or both slices. (Alternatively, spread one with mustard and the other with Russian dressing.) Pile on the warmed pastrami! Add a few slices of Swiss cheese (optional). Top with second slice of bread and DEVOUR! Want to change it up? Corned beef can be substituted for pastrami. TIP!: No double-boiler? No problem! Put 1" of water in a pot, and stack a smaller pot on top.
