MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: St. Swithin's Day Apple & Onion Chutney Categories: Fruits, Vegetables, Herbs, Chilies Yield: 4 Servings 500 g Apples; peeled and chopped 500 g Onions chopped 20 ml Olive oil; for cooking 250 ml Cider vinegar 150 g Castor sugar 2 ts Chile flakes 1 ts (ea) sea salt & black - pepper 1 ts Smoked paprika 1 ts Powdered fenugreek seed 2 cl Garlic; chopped 1 Handful fresh coriander; - chopped Soften and gently brown the onions in the olive oil. Add the garlic, fenugreek, salt, pepper, chile flakes, smoked paprika and cook in for a minute. Add the vinegar, sugar, apples and corriander then mix together and simmer for 1-1/2 hours Allow to cool then store either in sealed tubs or sterlized jars (like jam making).
