I'm on DMR as well, I have an OpenSpot.

I'm familiar with POCSAG as a user and scanner monitor.  The fire service uses
it for alerting members to incidents, and I have a pager for that.  I can see
value in a local pager for ham use, especially as I am not always able to leave
a rig running.
