I would propose a rule #3: words to the effect that 'moderator will disburse a
percentage tithe to the participating echo members, from the ancilliary income
that said moderator accrues by maintaining the echo listing'.

Now, I do realise that rule #2 may prevent such an occurrence.  Them's the
breaks.  Be that as it may, such a promise may promote an increase in the
number of participating members.[smirk]
