Hi mark!

22 Jan 2016 10:07, from mark lewis -> Richard Menedetter:

 RM>> It seems that the Flag does not make it to Golded.
 ml> not sure what you mean by this "does not make it to golded"
 ml> statement...

Golded can answer RRq messags itself.
See below template.
I have configured to ask me if I want to send one.
It does not ask and it does not send a reply.

 ml> just for clarity, the RRQ flag is set by you in your editor when you
 ml> create a netmail message... if the destination system honors the RRQ
 ml> flag, then its mailer and/or tosser will generate a receipt when the
 ml> message is unpacked from the PKT... that receipt will be sent back to
 ml> the originator to tell them that the message did arrive at its
 ml> destination...

It seems golded itself also can send a reply.

// Define how GoldED should respond when you read a message with the
// confirmation request attribute set.
;CONFIRMRESPONSE ASK ; Pop up a menu for your choice.
CONFIRMRESPONSE YES ; Generate receipt automatically.
;CONFIRMRESPONSE NO ; Never generate a receipt.

//  RCVDISABLESCFM <yes/no>  (yes)
// If this keyword defined to "no" then GoldEd will recognize RRq
// (receipt request) and/or CFM (confirmation) flag on messages with
//    RCV (received) flag set.

 ml> then there's also the CFM flag... this one causes you reader software.
 ml> if it is configured to honor it, to generate a receipt to the
 ml> originator when you read the message... sysop readers and bbs software
 ml> would be the ones to honor this flag...

 ml> so two flags for two different receipts... one receipt for the
 ml> netmail's arrival and unpacking and another receipt when the destinee
 ml> reads the message... honoring either is optional...

Aaah ... OK, so RRq is answered by the tosser,
CFM by the editor.

Strangely Golded also mentions RRq in the documentation ...

Thanx!
