DOS build

Hi All,

I am trying to build a DOS version of GoldEd+ using DJGPP under a Windows XP 
VM. When I type make it gives:

make.exe: *** [Makefile:64: dirs] Error -1

what does this mean? lol (for reference I had to rebuild my DJGPP sub-system 
and may be missing something! this USED to work) mygolded.h was created.

PATH and DJGPP environment variables are set properly.
