Hello Wilfred, >> When I run the golded (./golded) script to load gedlnx I get the >> following response: >> "./golded: 31: [: -a: unexpected operator" >> Line #31 of the golded script is: >> "if [ -n $SCREEN -a -s $SCREENRC_GOLDED ]; then" > Change this to: > if [ -n "$SCREEN" -a -s "$SCREENRC_GOLDED" ]; then > And try again... When I run the golded script with the quotes placed as indicated I don't get the "unexpected operator" response. But... gedlnx doesn't load either. I am immediately returned to the terminal prompt. >> If I try to load gedlnx without using the script. Nothing happens and >> I am returned to the terminal command prompt. > Is a golded.log file created? Does it have any clues? Now, If I load gedlnx directly (Without the golded script) golded loads and I am able to create a test netmail (No echomail areas defined yet). An empty golded.log file is created. I currently have a rather simple config file in place as this is both a fresh install of Linux (Ubuntu) and Golded on this spare machine. I also have a fresh install of SBBS also installed. It should be noted that my prior attempt at installing/compiling Golded+ was from the source code file gpsrc-115-20161221.tgz. After compiling loading gedlnx did nothing. This time I compiled Golded+ using the gpl115-20161221.zip file created by the running of the dist-gpl.sh script. Now, Golded+ actually loads when gedlnx is run directly. In neither case does the running of the golded script cause Golded (gedlnx) to load. I've gotten used to using Golded (Win32) but I prefer running Linux rather than Windows. <g> Jeff --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-3 * Origin: The OuijaBoard - Anoka, MN (1:282/1031) |
