i have two cmake's, though... the default installed one...

$ cmake --version
cmake version 2.8.12.2

and a newer one required to build the simulator i'm involved with...

~/flightgear-dev/next/install/cmake/bin/cmake
cmake version 3.7.20161029-gcc998

CMake suite maintained and supported by Kitware (kitware.com/cmake).
