Hello Wilfred, On Wed Nov 01 2017 16:32:54, Wilfred van Velzen wrote to mark lewis: ml>> FWIW: i doubt that he even reads posts to that fake user name... ml>> i mean, who posts messages to known robots?? So I'm guessing he had them backed up for awhile and when he upgraded his tosser they all spilled out. I haven't figured out why they were posted to echos not related to file announcements though, except the fact he just upgraded his tosser and a bunch of new things were added recently, which may or may not have jived with his current config. *shrug*. Either way, I don't think it has much to do with moving message areas around (or whatever "mark" was talking about). smbutil's (the program used to manually post messages to your message base in Synchronet) format requires an actual echotag for the area you're posting to. Not an ID number or base number or anything like that. My guess is either a major bug was just found in the latest changes, or his config got screwed up somehow. Regards, Nick ... "Не знаю.
