Hi! Paul, On 06 Dec 16 21:52, you wrote to Wilfred van Velzen: Wv>> Do you have a message editor installed (like golded), so you can Wv>> check what is going on in your hudson message base? Your 'NETMAIL' directory should have *.Msg files in it. The 'USENET' directory ought to have all your JAM areas and the Hudson board areas. The Hudson config should look something like this... File Name Size Allocated Modified -------------------------------------------------- LASTREAD BBS 400 512 17/08/01 MSGHDR BBS 0 0 18/08/01 MSGIDX BBS 0 0 02/09/06 MSGINFO BBS 406 512 06/12/16 MSGTOIDX BBS 0 0 02/09/06 MSGTXT BBS 0 0 18/08/01 (I think Mark Lewis posted a copy of his recently, too.) Of course yours will be somewhat more fleshed out, as I see you're bumping the size limit. Mine is only enough to have since FastEcho insists on needing one. Your problem with the LastRead.Bbs file nags me into thinking that you may need an editor to create one; simply pointing an editor at the Hudson areas prompts the editor to create one... IIRC. Find yourself a Golded archive and install it. Generally a default config file ought to work but you may care to do a little obvious fine-tuning, and you /will/ most certainly have to point Golded at your message areas configured in FMail. Quoting from the Golded dox... // GoldED can get area setup from many other programs. // Uncomment and edit one of these for a quick and simple area setup. ;AREAFILE FastEcho C:\FIDO\UTIL\FE\ ;AREAFILE AreasBBS M:\HUDSON\AREAS.BBS Using an exported Areas.Bbs file from FMail is your best & simplest option (the only downside is that area descriptions aren't dispayed). Sure there's an option to use an FMail config file (I didn't quote that) but it's problematical as to whether Golded could use the latest FMail version. You're welcome to FREQ a copy of the version I'm using for this note. The archive is called gpw32-115-20130111.zip; if you're stuck for a config file, I can send you copies of my .Cfg files. Just tell me. Cheers, Paul. ... <- Wook! Tagwine twacks! --- Paul's Win98SE VirtualBox * Origin: Quinn's Post - Maryborough, Queensland, OZ (3:640/384) |
