Needless to say it appears to be working. There is no difference to the code but there is a change of version to GCC and some general libraries. AS the libraries are (I assume) dynamic) it may well be a problem with GCC v5.5 as agains the older compiler (v4.82 - based on content of a 'less turqstat'). Thanks for the suggestion.
