 Makenl is very single minded. If new files are offered, they will get a suffix
 of the current publishing day an will be included in the nodelist that is
 in production. when a region file with a suffix of the current publishing
 day cannot be found, makenl will step back 7 days and will use that file
 if it exists. If that file does not exist, makenl will look for a file
 with a suffix again 7 days back.

 Makenl cannot look for a file with yesterdays suffix or any suffix not being
 on the 7 day step.

 To produce a proper dailylist with makenl, one has to do some trickery,
 either by making sure that updates with a proper suffix are available, or
 by running on a friday schedule and fixing the nodelist afterwards.

 As it is, makenl cannot produce dailies. I think we had some correspondence
 on this subject in December and Januari.

 I would be glad to continue that conversation.
