<MSGID_1=3A153=2F716.0_39e685c2@fidonet.org> From: alexander koryagin <koryagin@erec.ru> Hi, Ardith Hinton! I read your message from 15.06.2014 23:56 ak>> It is not easy to find a pretext to say something in the language ak>> you learn. AH> Of course. You're striving for fluency, therefore you don't want to AH> get too hung up on whether you spelled this or that word correctly. It is not a matter of my wanting. The main idea is like the one in the following joke: A tourist approached to a New York street musician and ask: "How can I get to Carnegie hall?" The musician: "Rehearsal, rehearsal and rehearsal." In other words, while learning to speak English I must, similar to that musician, to tell any kind of rubbish here, sharping my tongue. Well, I even don't ask for coins. Ah! A good idea! In some time, I believe it can be very soon, it would be possible to create a special teaching areas (attraction for tourists) somewhere in downtown, where robots will play roles of English people. Policemen, peddlers etc. Then foreigners could go in such areas and speak all the day without being afraid that they get on somebody's nerves. They should learn to speak properly, or the robots neither sell them any food nor show them the way out. ;=) Bye, Ardith!
