I used Word to produce and publish a newsletter, but I also began 'word processing' with that old WordStar software you mentioned. MSWord still uses those WordStar commands, just like they never went away. The difference is in the output *.DOC files they each produce. Wordstar *.doc files can be tranformed into MSWord *.doc files, but it takes a specially written chunk of software to do it. I still have a few WS.doc files that I'd like to convert, but the few that I have doesn't justify the cost of the software. ml> i've never seen a need to pretty things up with different fonts and ml> styles... just get it written and be done with it You should see some of the pages I produced with MSWord every month...they also included imported pictures while keeping those different fonts in place.
