When I put the larger HDD in a Vista notebook TI10 could not Clone to
old information to the new HDD, so I downloaded Macrium Reflux Free
and it did the job I was wanting TI10 to do.

I still use TI10 for backing up both the Vista and XP boxes.
As long as it does the backs up I'll keep on using it.

Thanks for your reply. I'm however not familiar with Norton/Symantec
virus products. My TP23 uses Avira and my other machines don't need
any AV program since they run on IBM's OS/2.

Norton Utilities v6.0 is very familiar and I use them occasionally.

Have a nice day,

You can take a look at it here: http://www.free-av.com/

Avira PE is easier to setup and run than Avast, however, the free version
displays a "nag ad" when it updates itself to the latest files and signatures.
A click of the mouse and the ad goes away. It's not bothersome at all and uses
very little resources.

Regards.

I installed with ~1GB available in a VM and it runs fine, at least in a
stripped condition. The task manager shows <400MB in use with Windows
Defender and Avira AV software running. BTW, the install, including a
1.3GB swap file, was ~5.2GB.

Interesting - I've had no problems at all. Maybe because of running in
a VM the BIOS/HDD is more generic or the use of the drivers supplied by
the VM vendor (Sun), leading to less chance of an issue? I'll keep an
eye out - thanks for the heads-up!

Lucky you, as soon as I run Avira /crash/

Its COMODO, page faults. I really liked COMODO too, works great if you
configure it right with torrents, trackers can't see you. :)

Ya .. I guess I'll DL ZoneAlarm.
