HG> GN Ed because your msg is timed 00:25,

My Messages tell on Me, I can't keep the Date and Time a secret
UNLESS I change the Date and Time on this Computer.
Even then the computer will reset the Date and Time unless I turned Off the
Router.

Some times I stay up late, other times I will get up before the Roosters
Crow to use my computers.
I'm Undependable!

And then there are some times I start writing a message but have to shut
the computer Off to do something else, and (much?) later go back to
finishing the message and Send it on its way.
Those messages don't show the Time when I started writing it.

HG> What Win10 Telemetry situation?? Never heard of such a thing.

 EV> I learned of it at www.askwoody.com .

HG> Problem for you is that you read too much.

I'm still TRYING to be a Mister Know-It-All, but ain't done it yet......

HG> I have never seen any mention that such a thing exists.

I wonder if anyone else reading this has read about Microsoft having
Telemetry sent to their location from people using a computer with
the Windows 10 Operating System on it?

Some Articles on www.askwoody.com have Links to articles at other web sites
Bleeping Computers - Wired.com and Others about the Care and Feeding of
WinTEN.

At AskWoody I've read some time ago that Microsoft has 'added' THEIR
Telemetry 'Feature' to Windows 7 and Windows 8.x computers by way of
Windows Updates making changes to those computers.

I use to "think (TM)" I may want to start using Windows 7, but not now.

 HG> image.

Yes, I do.

I had been using this XP pc for a year when I bought Acronis v. 10.0 to
make my first Full Backup of the pc.

As paranoid as I am, when I made that Backup this pc may have already
gotten 'bit' by some Malware.
But it is the oldest Backup I have if I was wanting to use it to Restore
back to that date.

If ever I wanted to Restore this pc to that first Backup,
(or use the two HP Restore DVD I made the day I first turned it On),
I'd use True Image 10.0 to make one more Full Backup so after I
rolled back this computer, I would be able to put My DATA Files back
on the new setup.

In the years following I have read that a person ought to make a Full
Backup or a Clone HDD as the FIRST THING they do on a new computer before
they connect it to the internet.

EV> With this XP pc when it shuts off it saves My "personal settings"

I tried doing an Incremental Backup but decided if I am going to back a
computer up, I ought to let it save everything that is on the pc when I
make the Backup.

EV> I have tried looking for where XP saves that "personal settings" so
EV> I could delete it and let the computer recreate a new one.

HG> With the aid of Acronis, you can yourself save those "personal
 HG> settings"

HG> Just use what you have!

WHAT!? Ed's Head? Come on.........

HG> .. I hit the CTRL key but I'm still not in control!

I'd say AMEN To That! - Been There, Done That.
And it's still does that to Me.

... We'll never be old. Decrepit ....... that's another issue, innit? - D.D.
