In a message on Sunday 10-22-16 mark lewis said to Ed Vance: Hi Mark, EV> I looked for OH0NC at QRZ and a window appeared asking if I wanted to EV> Add that Call to their Database. ml> it may not be an O (oh) or a 0 (zero)... my conversion of some ml> LS_ARRL posts has one character, an O (oh) with a forward slash ml> through it that has no ASCII or HIGH ASCII equivalent... i have no ml> clue how to make such a character, either... That character is used, to my knowledge only in danish, exists in cp850 as char dec 157. The closest you get in cp437 is dec 237 (φ), which isn't what you are looking for. In my conversion table from Latin-1 to PC8, I replace it with 0 (zero), although in danish text it replaces the letters Ö and ö as used in other european countries. There's another danish speciality, the letter combination Æ and æ, that the conversion program I've made, converts to Ä and ä, that are the replacements in other european languages. Have a nice day, Holger ___ * MR/2 2.30 * Dialogue is for wimps! Real men beat sense into each other... --- PCBoard (R) v15.22 (OS/2) 2 * Origin: Coming to you from the Sunny Aland Islands.
