DJ> this year. Are there any in developement currently? I am releasing a reboot for MOTOR CITY SOFTWARE commercial BBS doors. We aquired them around 97/98... and now that I have finished developing my own compiler, a node.js like engine, and apache_module for my compiler - I am developing my own mailer, tosser, editor, BBS and doors. Per BBS, I will be releasing many BBSes re-written to my compiler and my coderunner server. The challenge for my DOORs so far is - they run either as scripts under coderunner (e.g. standalone server) or a chain calls from my BBS. The chain approach allows the BBS to pass information to the DOOR, the standalone server is what we are currently testing, and mailers/BBSes have no clue how to pass the connection to the door, except to go into a reverse proxy mode and pass a string from the BBS -> DOOR (where is the drop file?) - this is done without echo back to the user, so they do not see how the BBS and DOOR handshake. The approach allows one or more BBS servers to use one or more DOOR servers. * Anyone else further down this road than we are? (We being me)... ;-) Ozz --- dBridge & Rhenium * Origin: RVA Fido Support - ExchangeBBS.com, ModernPascal.com (1:275/362) |
