Valid 290230Z - 290400Z The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 544 continues. SUMMARY...Threat for isolated strong to damaging wind gusts will persist until about 03Z or 04Z, with primary threat over the southwest part of ww 544 in northeast Nebraska. Storms will approach the southern bound of the WW before 04Z, and although another WW is not anticipated, the current WW can be locally extended in area if needed. DISCUSSION...Line of storms has undergone a general weakening trend across southeast SD especially the eastern two thirds that extend from extreme southeast SD into northwest IA. This trend will likely persist as the storms encounter a boundary layer that has been stabilized by earlier rains and experienced only limited recovery before onset of nocturnal cooling. However, storms along the southwest flank of the line could remain capable of strong to severe gusts next couple hours as they move south through Holt county NE where the atmosphere remains moderately unstable with 1500-2000 J/kg MLCAPE. ..Dial.. 07/29/2019 ...Please see www.spc.noaa.gov for graphic product...
