Valid 282210Z - 282345Z The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 543 continues. SUMMARY...A broken line of showers and thunderstorms has a history of producing tornadoes this afternoon in southern Minnesota. This tornado threat will continue into western Wisconsin this evening. DISCUSSION...A broken line of low-topped showers/thunderstorms with embedded mini supercells has produced several tornadoes this afternoon in southern Minnesota. The airmass ahead of this line remains unstable with dewpoints in the low 70s and MLCAPE around 1000 to 1500 J/kg. In addition, the low-level environment is rich in streamwise vorticity with 0-1 SRH around 200 to 250 m2/s2 per modified ARX VWP. Therefore, the tornado threat is expected to continue for at least a few more hours into western Wisconsin this evening. An additional catalyst for the continued tornado threat will be the strengthening low-level jet which is expected to increase to 35 to 40 knots in the next few hours. An isolated tornado threat persists west of this line where some backed surface winds and high low-level theta-e remains. While the tornado threat is much lower in this area, will continue to be slow clearing counties from the watch due to this continued isolated threat. ..Bentley.. 07/28/2019 ...Please see www.spc.noaa.gov for graphic product...
