The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 529
continues.

SUMMARY...A line of severe thunderstorms with a history of damaging
wind continues to move east across Minnesota and Iowa.

DISCUSSION...An impressive line of storms continues to produce
measured severe wind gusts despite preceding outflow/northeast
surface winds. Temperatures behind the main line have dropped into
the 50s, leading to strong pressure rises. This system will likely
persist, as it ingests warm/moist air just off the surface and out
of the southwest. It is possible that watch extensions or a new
watch will eventually be needed for parts of central and eastern IA
if trends persist.
