Significant wind gust are still expected across central and northeast Wisconsin this evening. ...01Z Update... ...Northern/Central WI...Upper/Lower MI... Strong mesoscale convective system continues to organize as it moves across northern WI at 40-45 kt. Air mass ahead of the line is currently characterized by temperatures in the mid 80s, dewpoints in the mid 70s, effective bulk shear around 50 kt, and strong buoyancy. Expectation is for the ongoing line to continue organizing while moving quickly eastward and for strong wind gusts to become more common as the rear-inflow jet strengthens. A corridor of significant wind gusts (i.e. 74+ mph) is probable. Current radar signature and recent NSSL Warn-on-Forecast ensemble data suggest the most likely location for this corridor during the next hour is across Lincoln, Langlade, Marathon, Wood, and Portage Counties in central WI. QLCS tornadoes are also possible within the line. PDS Severe Thunderstorm Watch 525 remains in effect for Northern WI until 06Z. ..Mosier.. 07/20/2019 $$ ------------=_1563584185-2024-1719 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7BIT = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
