Upper ridge is forecast to build north across the Rockies during the
day4-8 time frame as troughing establishes itself over the eastern
US. This flow regime will encourage a more continental air mass to
settle south forcing a cold front to seasonally low latitudes over
the Gulf States. While EML plume is expected to weaken with time,
which should prove more favorable for frontal convection, generally
weak steering currents are expected. Additionally, day-to-day
convective influences (beyond the ability for the models to discern)
should limit severe predictability and probs will not be introduced
this period.
