Valid 172254Z - 180030Z The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 516 continues. SUMMARY...A few strong to severe storms remain possible through the evening. DISCUSSION...Numerous strong to occasionally severe storm clusters have been ongoing across watch 516 for the last few hours. These storms have been mostly outflow dominant due to the weak shear (~25 knots per BOX VWP) and thus no individual clusters have posed a prolonged severe threat. The northern and western half of WW 516 has been convectively overturned, but a narrow area of instability remains from northern New Jersey along the coast to Cape Cod. A few strong to severe storms remain possible in this area for the next hour or two before the boundary layer begins to stabilize with the loss of daytime heating. ..Bentley.. 07/17/2019 ...Please see www.spc.noaa.gov for graphic product...
