ITs capabilities, if you could tame it, and I know of two people who did:

2341K 09-22-1997

AdeptXBBS Version 1.11y Full Install
------------------------------------
 32-bit, Multi-Threaded GUI, NNTP,
 SMTP, POP3, Telnet, Sockets, FTP,
 Integrated Mailer, REXX, Utils,
 multiple language, XMsg, *.Msg,
 Squish and JAM msg bases,
 localized date/time display and
 a lot more!

 Very customizable for almost any
 BBSing needs.

GUI (PM) BBS for OS/2. FREEWare/2
         24 Node Version

Adept was begun by a programmer right in this state whose name I no longer
remember. Wait! IT was Mark Kimes. He either released the code into the
public domain or turned it over to the two who updated it -- one in Canada and
the other in India, both using different compilers. I actually got it to work,
with a lot of help from Bill Kirby of the Twin Towers BBS in Texas. Even if
it had become 100% reliable, there is still the fact that IBM abandoned its OS,
probably to work on the Space Shuttle software. I don't know that for a fact
-- it's just an educated guess on my part.

AdeptXBBS is downloadable from:

http://www.bbsdocumentary.com/software/IBM/OS...

but I don't believe it's the source code.

I love to fly, but they won't let me handle the plane during takeoff or
landing. (-:

What about Ozzmosis?

Everything that has a beginning has an end.

RN> ... The minute you throw something away, you'll need it the next day.

 WD> Tell me about it...

It's an awful truth and happens to everyone.

It is storming over here. I thought this only happened in April.
