Hi Petros, I told Ward to forward this reply via Netmail to you.

I apologize for not responding earlier, however I have been very busy with
"real life" situations. However, I will try my best to offer the following
step-by-step for troubleshooting these types of issues.

On some systems, there may be a "quirk" in D'Bridge where the BinkD "staging"
directory (sometimes called a mailbox or filebox), is not properly created.
The solution is to manually create the directory if its missing, and to also
make sure that the system has been defined in CONFIG-INTERNET SESSIONS.

Lets say, for example, you are linked with Ward. His address is 2:292/854. And
lets suppose your Queue directory is in C:\DB\QUEUE. At your DOS prompt change
to your DB directory and type DBUTIL QNAME 2:292/854. This will reveal part of
the directory name that needs to exist for mail to be staged into BinkD. In
this case, 002084.0NQ. You need to add a "D-" at the beginning... so, create
the directory C:\DB\QUEUE\D-002084.0NQ

Next, ensure that Wards system has been defined correctly in CONFIG-INTERNET
SESSIONS. Also make sure that in the CONFIG-SCHEDULE screen, U for UNEVENT,
arrow-down until a seperate screen appears with routing, specifically, ROUTE
TO. For now, type in 2:292/854 FOR 2:ALL

Please make sure the nodelist has been compiled correctly using
UTILITIES-BUILD NODELIST. Then, write Ward a Netmail message, save and exit
the editor.

If you intend on just testing outgoing mail for now, D'Bridge should place a
"call" to Ward's system to deliver the message. The Queue will say "Sent" or
"Sent to Staging".

If this fails, please email me at nandre -at- net229 -dot- org with the output
of DB EXPORT PETROS.CFG as well as the DBBINKD.LOG file, that would help me
determine what is happening.

Also note that if you are running D'Bridge on a version of Windows higher than
XP, you need to make sure D'Bridge has been started with Administrator
privilege.

Nick
