Hi Nancy,

NB> NB>>> Always enough desserts to auction off that way... :)
NB> RH>> And a good variety as well.
NB> NB>> Which is part of what makes it so enjoyable every year,,, :)

RH> That, and the bidding competition. It can get crazy sometimes.

 NB> I can well imagine... ;)

All in good fun and for a good cause however.

NB> RH>>> We'll see--Raleigh one is only 3 months away from opening now.
 NB> NB>>> True... :)
NB> RH>> We were down in the area on Monday. The construction fence is
NB> gone RH>> now so we could see inside the plaza better. Looks like
 NB> work is
NB> RH>> progressing well but know there are a lot of small jobs to
 NB> finish RH>> between now & then.
NB> NB>> As is to be expected... ;)

RH> Yes but it will be nice when it finally opens. Somebody was commenting
 RH> recently that they didn't understand all the "hype" about Wegman's;
RH> she'd been in one and was not that impressed with it. Maybe she needed
RH> to spend more time in one? (G)

NB> It partly depends on what area of a store one does most of their
NB> shopping... and what sort of quality they want and are willing to pay
NB> for... For me, Wegmans easily wins hands down... the things that
NB> matter to me are at least as inexpensive as at any other store, the
NB> quality of the fresh foods (produce, meats, seafood, dairy, bakery) is
 NB> as good or
NB> better than anywhere else, I don't mind paying a little more for good
NB> fresh food to be prepared at the store for me, and so on.... and the
NB> convenience of it all in one place... Apparently Aldi's is a better
NB> fit for some people, including my youngest sister (MG).... shrug... :)

We do a mix of stores, depending on where we are, what we need.

---
Catch you later,
Ruth
