We've had some nice cool days interspersed with the really bad ones...
at least the last few hot days weren't too humid, so they were more
bearable...

Makes sense for him to try to get used to it before having to use it on
the road...   And nice to have it available if needed, too...

I tend to stay inside the camp to watch the ones at the Pond, mostly,
since the mosquitoes can be rather fierce.... I can generally see well
enough to appreciate the pretty display, without so much smoke, noise or
bites....

Yes... It was over the winter, a year and a half ago...

There were fewer camping than usual, but it was a good time all the
same... a little more laid back, at least for some of us, which was a
good thing...

That was good...  Probably Steve was missed more at that point, too...
