-=> Quoting Dale Shipp to Jim Weller <=- DS> herbs in pots on the deck. No other place gets enough sun With us the constraint is that the house is perched on a rocky hill with no soil. The hill is a solid granite, glaciated bedrock outcrop, part of the Canadian shield. It doesn't appear to be gold or diamond bearing though. [g] DS> spicy oregano / has a pretty good bite to it Roslind tried to grow it once a few years ago but it just didn't thrive in our relatively cool climate. I particularly like Greek oregano which actually a different species but the seeds are hard to find (locally at least,) I bought Roslind an aero garden with LED lights for her birthday so she can continue gardening indoors in the fall and winter, but she hasn't unpacked it yet. Cheers Jim ... Herbal teas are tisanes which derives from the Greek for "not tea." ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.20 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Fido Since 1991 | QWK by Web | BBS.FIDOSYSOP.ORG (1:123/140) |
