With a good number of sports teams in the area--baseball, football,
hockey, basketball each having 2 teams, why not? There are other sports
that have major tournaments in the area (tennis, for one, probably
soccer, golf and more), the Times covered quite a few sports. Their main
emphasis was news and business but every Wednesday they also had a
section dedicated to food.

Yes, it is laughable but I also shudder at the blatantly deliberate
mispronunciation.
