Hi Dale, DS> We buy the Lactaid milk, not so much that we are lactose intolerant DS> but rather that we drink so little milk. I have milk in my coffee, DS> and Gail uses it in a few cooking recipes. The main reason we buy it DS> is because it has a long shelf life. RH> Even so, it would probably expire before we could use it up. (G) Steve RH> eats more cereal than I do, but even so, a quart may last a week or RH> more. DS> I think that the shelf like is measured in multiple weeks or months. DS> Check the bottle next time you are in a store. OK, I'll do that. We usually have the Lactaid (or store brand) tablets on hand so would generally grab one of those if there was a lot of milk in something. DS> NOTE: *Taco seasoning mix is from large bottle of mix put out by DS> McCormick Spice Company. I am guessing it is the same mix as the DS> little individual foil packages you get at the grocery store. Or make up your own, using spices from your shelf. Might need to add something like a bit of corn starch if thickening is needed. --- Catch you later, Ruth rchaffly{at}earthlink{dot}net FIDO 1:396/45.28 ... There cannot be a crisis today; my schedule is already full. --- PPoint 3.01 * Origin: Sew! That's My Point (1:396/45.28) |
