Daryl Stout | ALL | DSZPORT - DOOR FILE TRANS |

I had mentioned this before, but the suggestions tried haven't worked. One of the doors on the BBS is a door called RIPDOOR, originally done by former GT Power BBS Sysop Bill Watts (unfortunately, I don't think it's registerable anymore, but I do have a registered copy of it). The door allows users to download RIP Graphics programs (such as RipTerm and RipTel) and RIP Icon packages for various doorgames. It works with or without a fossil driver, and supports several different dropfiles. Supposedly, all the comport routines are handled within the door itself, so no comport redirection is needed. The thing that does NOT work in the door is the actual file transfer. The documentation states that you must set the DSZ environemt variable for proper operation...noting that "SET DSZPORT=x" (where x is the number of the comport you're operating on...and to be sure that DSZ.EXE or DSZ.COM is in the DOS path. I had put it in the door directory itself, thinking that would work...but I guess I need to put it into the path of the AUTOEXEC.NT file (I run Windows 7 32-bit). Even though RIP graphics are rare on a BBS, some systems have the screens for it, and some doors have RIP screens as well. Any help would be appreciated.
