Did you try to delete it twice in the message list by chance?  When you delete
a message with my reader in the message list screen, it will mark it as deleted
but won't remove it from the list until you exit the list and go back to the
list (which may explain why it was gone when you went back).

I can take a look at DDMsgReader.js and try to update it to avoid that error in
the future though.
