Vessel knocks out electricity in parts of Terrebonne Tuesday Posted Nov 15, 2016 at 7:40 PM Updated Nov 15, 2016 at 11:00 PM Electricity was out for a short period of time in Houma after a vessel pulled down the main electrical line from Entergy to the City of Houma Power Plant. Around 7 p.m., the Terrebonne Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Prepardness posted a Facebook status stating that the vessel had pulled down the line and workers had begun working to divert power from the Coteau sub-station to the power plant in Houma. Power was restored approximately 30 minutes later. [Change that last line to 1.5 hours -- I don't know where they got that time from.] Regards, Roger --- DB 3.99 + W10 (1607) * Origin: NCS BBS - Houma, LoUiSiAna (1:3828/7) |
