Roger, RN>I couldn't take the cold. I was playing golf as a member of a club many yea RN>ago when out of nowhere, the temperature dropped to near freezing and it RN>started hailing on us. Luckily we had just finished the 8th hole, so after RN> 9th I left. They probably finished the round. When something like that RN>happens, I start looking around for tornadoes. First, you are correct about the hail and tornadoes. If you are in an area of hail, especially large, you're in or near when a tornado may develop. Second, I *PREFER* the cold. While it makes the arthritis hurt more, it means NO HEAT ILLNESS, NO INSECTS (especially the stinging ones), and NO TORNADOES. I am TERRIFIED of severe weather...but after all, having been under 2 tornadic funnel clouds, within a mile of 2 rain wrapped tornadoes (an F-1 and an F-4), a 2 time lightning strike survivor (indirect, but I still got the severe shock), and nearly drowning in swirling floodwaters, can you blame me??
