I love what you said about programming on 16k. Not to pull out the beards and false teeth but my Dad's first computer was the Sol Terminal 20 which had... 2... K of ram. So the first 1K was used for system operations and the 2nd K was used for programs and what not that you wanted to run. In time Dad got the Sol up to 48K and all was amazing.
