Hi Jeff, >>> Is there any thought or idea regarding adding the ability to edit and/or >>>deleting messages that one has personally written in BBBS's web message edit >>>I am referring to messages that have not yet been sent out that one would l >>> to either edit or delete. >> Yes, I just got it to work. >I had seen the "Don't Save" option. I was referring more towards a message tha > had already been saved but one wanted to go back and edit it before it gets > scanned out or delete it so that it doesn't get scanned out. Here's what I do...first set the scan time on the bbs to occur maybe every 15 minutes or longer to give you time to find the files you need to delete. Then, look at your toss log and find the last packet and delete it and netmail msg. it is attached to. It is pretty easy to find the packet by looking in your netmail directory for the attach message because it will list the filename in the subject. You can view the file to make sure it's the right message you just typed by using this linux command: unzip -pC /home/bbbs/outbound/e508d0f2.we1|strings |less That's the way I do it <g> If you want to scan out faster after that, you can just type in the scan command manually (cd bbbs; ./bbbs bogus r) Hope that helps. Take care, Janis --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Dada-2 * Origin: Prism bbs (1:261/38) |
