14.04, 16.04 and what will be 18.04 are the LTS releases... 14.04 atill has
roughly two years on it... 2019 Apr is its EOL date...

i know this because i've been going a few rounds with some FOSS projects about
them not having fixes out for 14.04 with its two more years of life... they're
coming around, though
