I had cable internet quite a few years ago. Didn't care for it too much. No
static IP's and they blocked port. That and the cable modem went bad three
times
in 18 months. Have had DSL ever since. I currently live about a half block from
 my ISP's local distribution point.

Did manage to go to a friends home for dinner. Still feeling kinda weak.
