-=> On 06-20-19 11:00, Bob Ackley <=- -=> spoke to Dale Shipp about News <=- > BA> AFAIC they're all lying > > I do not believe that of the various local news stations. BA> You're free to do that. I don't and can't watch broadcast television BA> - I quit watching the thing over 35 years ago and didn't buy one of BA> those converters when they changed the broadcast television band. Your statement confuses me. How can you not be able to watch broadcast television (news) but can watch cable news channels? > believe that of most of the network and cable news stations, but will > readily admit that they each have their own personal bias in what they > choose to report and what they editorize about. BA> CNN is HEAVILY slanted toward the left wing, both in what it covers BA> and hot CNN covers it. Fox is somewhat biased toward the right wing BA> but, unlike CNN< does present opposing views. I've watched both and BA> IMO Fox is the more reliable of the two (I've not watched any other BA> than those two); but I don't claim it is absolutely reliable, just BA> more reliable than CNN. And there we will probably continue to disagree. CNN often has pundits from opposite sides of the political spectrum on the show at the same time. It does slant left, but at least attempts to allow views from the right to be expressed. What little I have watched of Fox News (e.g. Hannity) is only a little step above talk radio in its slant.
