Not many people know that the reason hemp is illegal is E I DuPont de 
Nemours Inc.  In the 1930s DuPont invented a brand new synthetic cord 
named nylon, but hemp was much cheaper, so DuPont had congress make 
hemp illegal to clear the rope market for its nylon product
