Hello Mike,

MP> My parents and I together paid my way through college... do we also get

Students should be paid for attending class. They are our future,
and should be rewarded. Putting them in debt for the next thirty
years is not the answer.

Student-athletes are rewarded with scholarships. Nobody cares if
they attend classes or not. All the general public wants is a good
show, with their favorite school winning championships. But even
scholarships are not enough, as there are other expenses students
have to pay for. Such as textbooks, food, and drinking expenses.

Our educational system is so poor, that no college or university
is smart enough to offer scholarships in football, basketball,
baseball, gymastics, or whatever other choice of sport a student
wishes to participate in. Instead, our nation's colleges and
universities rake in the dough from the income received from
televised broadcasts, and revenue from tickets sold.

Graduate students get paid through internships. Teaching is
voluntary. These internships include free tuition. The least
we can, and should, do is offer undergraduates free tuition.
And not just student-athletes.
