In 1987-1988, I lived on an abandoned hemp farm out in north-central Indiana. Every year, we'd get this -huge- hemp plant growing and the local idiots thought it was weed. The property owner who lived with us in a separate house used to get out his shotgun at night and sit near the plant as it faced out against a several hundred-acre potato farm. Every once in a while, in the middle of the night, you'd hear the shotgun go off. When we moved, that plant was still there. Later, Sean ...
