They are claiming to be refugees, but many were offered residency by Mexico &
they turned it down. If someone had a knife in my back, I'd take refuge in
the first decent country to offer it. But the evil side of me would say "No
Aaron, keep going north.. there's money in it for you!"

Women and children are murdered daily right here in the USA. I know this
isn't where you wanted to take the conversation, but the most brutal killings
in the USA (in my opinion) occur near the Mexico border in states like New
Mexico & Texas. New Mexico's laws are influenced by those of it's latino
neighbors to the south. If you murder a child (a person under 18) in New
Mexico, murder charges are out of the question. Instead, you'll get charged
with "Child Abuse Resulting in Death," which carries like a mandatory 5 day
jail sentence.

I used to work with a lady who murdered her husband, served her short
sentence, and then got hired by my employer.

Using women & children as shields? That's childs play.
