I've been posting in here since about 1985.  I've got about ten years 
of POLITICS archived here someplace.  Earl Croasmun is the only person 
from those days that's still active.

In the mid 1990s this echo was good for 250-300 posts per day, and 
there was a 25 posts per person per day limit.  The moderator at the 
time was David Bloomberg, aka 'Crackpot,' who inherited the job from Ed 
Cleary, who founded the echo.  Bloomberg turned the echo over to Gary 
Braswell, who hasn't been seen here since probably 2001.
