Hello All, I have been noticing a lot of people online claiming that America is a democracy. I've been reminding them that no, America is a constitutional republic. Big difference. They've also been carrying on about the electoral college. I remind them that there's 3141 counties and county equivalents (sp?) in the US. If we used "majority rules" for presidental elections, six counties in the US would make the decision for the other 3135 counties. Still doesn't phase them and they go on bloviating. It's disheartening to see Americans become more and more stupid with every advancing generation. It worries me to see what the country will be like in my sunset years. Later, Sean ...
