Most fireworks are legal in Missouri, but are illegal in Iowa and 
Nebraska.  There's a big fireworks industry on the Missouri side of 
the Iowa and Nebraska borders.  Nebraska used to put roadblocks on 
its bridges across the Missouri River to stop cars entering the state 
to search them for fireworks, and confiscated any fireworks they 
found
