Hallo mark! ml> i never have understood the difference between curses and ncurses ml> other than one starts with the letter 'n'... The 'n' in ncurses stands for new, where new was back in 1993. Obviously new in this case is relative to BSD curses from back in 1980-1982-ish depending on which curses is considered as the base curses that all other curses evolved from, including ncurses. Probably a more traditional micro emacs would link to -ltermcap instead of -lcurses except that as we speak I don't have termcap installed. How about you? Het leven is goed, Maurice ... Huil niet om mij, ik heb vi. --- GNU bash, version 5.0.7(1)-release (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) * Origin: Little Mikey's EuroPoint - Ladysmith BC, Canada (2:280/464.113) |
